This works are scenery pictures when government carried out “Four Major River Project”; Four major rivers are Han river, Nakdong river, Geum river, and Yeongsan river. Surroundings were totally changed by name of “Reorganization.” These Shady Hills are piles of dredged soil moved and stacked by giant dump trucks unlike other hills that we normally step up. These piles of dredged material are someone’s unbounded desires. The more the hills got higher, the bigger the desires became. “Shady Hills” is about destructions of the environment to keep developing giant construction industry. Those soil, sand, and rock depots are represented images of human greed.
